New Year Motivation

Nothing is stronger than New Year motivation. Am I right or am I right??

Every year, I set new goals and every single year I FAIL. Has anyone else been down this road of failed New Year goals?

I have really taken the time to reflect on this “phenomenon”. We see a New Year as a moment in time to change all the bad habits we have: exercising, smoking, drinking, eating… just to name a few. We put it all on the line and say: “THIS IS THE YEAR I WILL STOP__________________ (fill in the blank) AND I WILL START__________________ (fill in the blank). What comes next? FAILURE.

What I have been reflecting on is: Why do I fail every single year and how do I make sure that I achieve my 2021 goals.

First, I am picking only 1 goal. Done are the days of picking 2-3 goals. It is not realistic to set 2-3 massive goals and expect that you will achieve them. I am setting one small, specific goal so that I can give it all my attention and focus.

My goal this year: CREATE AND STICK TO A HEALTHY BALANCED DIET FOR LIFE

I want to create a healthier relationship with food. I want to eat better, because when I eat better, I feel better. I already know this, yet, I continue to struggle with my diet.

I have identified the issue, I am an all in kind of person. When I eat well, I eat really well. BUT, when I eat bad, I eat really bad. I want to fix this. I want to be able to eat in moderation.

So how will I make sure I achieve this goal? I am tackling my New Year’s resolution very differently this year. I am creating a plan, I am getting really specific about how I am going to change my relationship with food, I am writing it down, and I will be reviewing it every single day. I have also created a 2021 challenge with a group of women on Instagram, so I have created a support group to help me, and I hope I can help them. I will be going Live on Instagram every single week to talk about my wins and my struggles, I will be journaling, and will always make my diet, my number 1 priority.

For the ladies who signed up for this free 2021 challenge, they will receive the template that I used to create my 2021 plan on December 26th. I will also post it on my website under health tools. I am not an expert, but I like to share what I do in case it helps someone else. If you have ideas you want to share with our community, put it in the comments below, that’s what this is all about!

If you have been down the road of failed New Year’s goals. Join us, lets go at this together. Let’s finally stick with a New Year’s resolution shall we?
