It’s Time for Change, My Body Told me So

Well it’s been 13 months of following a low carb / keto lifestyle, and honestly, it has taught me so much about my relationship with food: what I am capable of and it delivered results. I’ve lost 50lbs in one year following this lifestyle. BUT, I really haven’t lost weight since January, and I feel like this is my body telling me it’s time to pivot and adjust.

So much has changed in the last year, I went from being someone who rarely exercised to someone who exercises 5-7 days a week. I went from being someone who was looking for a quick fix to drop a few pounds to someone who legitimately wants to live a healthy and active lifestyle.

A Keto / Low Carb diet was exactly what I needed when I started. The rules were simple, it was an easy diet to follow, and I knew I could stick to it. I have nothing but positive things to say about this lifestyle. BUT, now I know it’s time to try something different.

SO I WILL! It’s that simple. Why not? What’s the worst that could happen? It doesn’t work and I try something else or I go back to KETO.

Here is what I know after 1 year on this journey. It actually doesn’t really matter what diet you follow, KETO, Paleo, South Beach.. you just need to be consistent with what you choose to do. You need to stick with it. I have stuck to KETO for 1 year. Now, it’s time for me to give something else a shot.

I’m still working through what that looks like for me. But over the next week or so I will be sharing all the details.
