Summer is HERE! I Need ALL the Willpower!
First, let me start by telling all of you, these bikini pictures are not easy for me. I’m still so uncomfortable. But it is easier than it was a year ago. I don’t love my body, but I am learning to be OK with my body.
Along with summer comes ALL the temptations. Long weekends, yummy (bad) foods, drinks… wait did I say drinks? Saying no, is so hard. I have been working on “techniques” so that I don’t feel like I am missing out. Here is what is working for me.
I eat a full healthy meal before I attend any gathering. Usually a protein and lots of veggies and I eat a lot of it. The goal is that I want to be full going into any day or evening where I will be tempted. This give me my best chance at success LOL. When I am full I don’t drink as much, and I don’t snack. This has really helped me A LOT. I am also counting calories, making sure I stay within 1600 a day. I really try and stick to it.
Lately, I have had to remind myself, enjoying moments and having fun really do not need to revolve around food and drink. Sometimes that is really easy to forget.
