Travel & Getting Healthy, it Ain’t Easy!
Travel is part of my world. I travel for work, I travel for my daughter’s dance competitions and I travel for fun. I am usually on a plane at least once a month. Figuring out how to get workouts in and eating right while travelling is not easy.
There is always a sense of “vacation mode” when you are staying at a hotel. There are temptations on every restaurant menu, there is always a movie waiting on the hotel TV, so sticking to a routine is key.
I preview restaurant menus before going out, and I always choose my meal in advance, I often don’t even look at the menu, that helps avoid bad decision. Now the gym, my rule of thumb, before dinner always. I either go in the morning or before dinner, because I already know there is no chance I am working out after I’ve had my last meal.
These are my travel rules, and I try to stick to them 100% of the time.
